HE DID IT!!

I'm one of those people who like to remember "firsts", and "lasts" of just about anything.  Kyle has heard me say it a million ways.  In high school is was something like, "Happy last Monday being a high schooler!"  Later, "This is your last night as a teenager!" It keeps going..."Happy last Easter before being married" or "happy first Easter being married".  We found out we were pregnant with Kerbi on a Sunday morning and when we got in the car to go to church that morning I said, "happy first time going to church as a family of four." You get the picture.

So this is to Trager:  HAPPY FIRST LAST DAY OF PRESCHOOL!!!!!!  We are so proud of you!

And just so we can remember his "happy first day" of preschool, here you go.

Pigtails at the Park!

We enjoyed a 90 degree day today at the park with Gracie and Mandy. It's so nice to be outside. With the warmer weather, I've been wondering what I'm going to do with Kerbi's hair. Today was our first attempt at pigtails. They turned out pretty good for a first try, and her hair stayed out of her face much better than with just a single ponytail. I texted Mom a picture of her and she said, "That makes her look too big!" Ha! I have to agree! Time is flying! Love my girl.

Above is Kerbi's posture for when she is being shy or she has just gotten in trouble. When it's the latter, it's hard to stay mad because she looks so darn cute.

Trager being a tiger, sleeping in his "cage".

Gracie is such a great friend and caretaker of Kerbi. She is always willing to lend a hand. It would be nice if Kerbi would accept her help sometime!! Little Miss Independent.

After the park and a quick bite at Taco Bell, we headed to Target. Why not? We were in the kids' clothes section looking at some great deals and I swear I turned my head for 2 seconds and turned around to see Kerbi putting ARM LOADS of clothes in our cart. She was literally clearing the shelves. It was hilarious, but then I had to get tough and tell her to "STOP!" She listened...I think.

Easter

Trager has really been into Clifford lately.  He got a DVD, a Leapster game, play-doh and some pez in his Easter basket.

Kerbi lovin' her baby doll.  She got the baby, a Strawberry Shortcake DVD (that is so annoying I am going to put it in the Goodwill pile), and some play-doh.

All dressed up and ready for church!

She didn't want me to put the bag on her arm.  But she warmed up to the idea and did great hunting eggs.

Grandpa Bob made a new swing for the bigger boys.

All the boys.  They could have done this all day.  In a few months, Taylor will be driving more than a golf cart on his own.  Crazy!

Easter traditions

The night before Easter we decided to dye some eggs.  It can't really be called a tradition yet because this is the first time I have let Trager dye eggs.  I bought the stuff last year, but couldn't muster up the energy I guess.  But I always remember enjoying this growing up, so it was time.

My pictures are pretty bad.  Kyle took some with his camera but I have yet to see them.  =)

Oh, and it was Earth Day I guess. Lowes was handing out trees, so Kyle and Trager planted theirs on our deck.
